Facebook Hacker Cup

This is not related to Ubuntu, but it’s quite interesting since most of you are using Facebook – the No1 social media nowadays. Facebook today announced that it has opened registration for the Hacker Cup, its annual competition for programmers with a $10,000 top prize, up from $5,000 last year, for the best of them all. Facebook holds the Hacker Cup in rounds, starting first online and then culminating in a final onsite round at Facebook’s HQ in Menlo Park, CA for the top 25 programmers.

Attention Hackers! The dates have been set for Facebook Hacker Cup 2013.

Jan 7 – Jan 27– Registration
Jan 25 – Jan 27 — Online Qualification Round
Feb 2 — Online Elimination Round 1
Feb 9 — Online Elimination Round 2
Feb 16 — Online Elimination Round 3
March 22 -23 — Onsite Finals at Facebook
